Stuffing in November

I don’t seem to blog as much as I used to. Homeschooling takes up a lot of my time:) . We visited Rex’s Grandpa in the beginning of the month. We had a great visit with him, Rex was able to read the Scriptures and pray with him.

We gave out gospel tracts along with candy Halloween night. I found a great resource online
http://www.ccwonline.org/tracts.html

We only found 3 of them on our lawn the next morning. We gave out close to 50 of them. Next year I should prepare a little more.

Rexford was hired on as a seasonal employee at a retail store and really likes it. He has his last behind the wheel scheduled soon.

Rex celebrated his birthday this month, it wasn’t really relaxing. But I did make him Boston Cream Pie! One of his favorites. He works so much we had a hard time finding some time to celebrate it!

We had six kids from the school where we teach tkd enter a tkd tournament this month. They all did great and Rex was like a proud papa helping them. I was in a ring judging or refereeing the whole time. My feet hurt so bad that night, I was so worn out! I can’t remember the last time I was on my feet for so long. I learned a lot also, it was a great experience for me. I was sick on top of it all!

We had a game day with people from the church on Saturday and it was really fun. One of the games we played was Apples to Apples. I really liked it even though I didn’t do very well at it. Lilly and Danielle spent the day at a birthday party, it was at a water park, and Danielle doesn’t want to remove her wrist band. I wonder how many days it will stay on:)

Geneva is working hard on her pattern in tkd, I am hoping she can test soon. She has been watching tkd for such a long time, she sometimes will incorporate high belt moves into her pattern, it’s pretty funny to watch but we are constantly telling her to do her own pattern!

I am so glad I quit the homeschool co-op when I did. They were going to offer a hip hop dance class next semester, I don’t know if they are still offering the class now, a couple families quit shortly after. I am glad I didn’t have to deal with that. I think it’s so sad and it’s a terrible reflection on the state of some of our churches. Why parents would encourage such things is beyond my understanding. This makes me think of why parents let their children get away with lying…I could go on and on but I will not!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rex is doing a lot better on our weight loss challenge than I am. It’s so easy to get comfortable with yourself, but I know I need to make it to my goal. It is taking a long time to do it. It was so easy to put on the fat!

Hope everyone has a beautiful Thanksgiving this week! Praise God for His wonderful mercies to us! Praise God from whom all blessings come!
