Happy First Day of Fall!!!!!!

It was the first day of fall when I started this entry. Leaves are starting to change color and the weather is cooler. We have not turned our heat on and I want to wait as long as possible to do that. It seems with the change of weather some of us are getting sick. I have gotten sick once since I started dieting. Geneva was really ill one day this week:(

I had a hair color semi disaster this week. I usually use hair dye that comes with highlighting. Well, when I dyed my hair this week the highlights were way too bright. I went to the hair salon where I get my hair cut to talk to the lady who cuts my hair and she was so sweet. She is so young; anyway she walked with me over to a store and helped me pick out some dye to fix my problem. I suppose when the kids move out we might be able to afford for me to get my hair dyed at a salon, but for now it’s box color:)

Rex and I took a couple of the kids to see Jet Li’s new movie Fearless. When we have gone to the theater to see a martial arts movie the previews they show before hand are SO TERRIBLE. Lots of horror movies, not sure what focus group recommended that but it’s really annoying. It was over 20 minutes of preview! The movie was great; I can’t remember when I cried at a movie so much. I must have been in a mood. Why do most Asian movies have sad endings? It didn’t leave me with a feeling of just sadness though; there was a strong emphasis on family, honor and justice.

I have found the answer!!!

Faintly flabby earthlings are always on the lookout for a new diet. The trouble with most diets is that you don't get enough to eat (the starvation diet), or you don't get enough variation (the liquid diet, or you go broke (the all-meat diet). Consequently, people tend to cheat on their diets, or quit after 3 days, or go right back to stuffing their faces after it is all over. Is there nothing you can do but give up and tell your friends you have a gland problem? Or is there slim hope?

Such is the new Toddler Miracle Diet! Over the years you may have noticed, as I have, that most two year olds are trim. It came to me one day over a cup of black coffee and a carrot that perhaps their diet is the reason.

After consultation with pediatricians, x-ray technicians, and distraught moms, I was able to formulate this new diet. It is inexpensive, offering great variety and sufficient quantity. Before embarking on this diet, however, be sure to check with your doctor -- otherwise you may have to see him afterward. Good luck!

DAY ONE:

Breakfast - One scrambled egg, one piece of toast with grape jelly. Eat 2 bites of the egg, using your fingers; dump the rest on the floor. Take 1 bite of toast, then smear the jelly over your face and clothes. Get some in your eyebrows too. It'll give you something to pick at for several hours of satisfying appetite control.

Lunch - Four crayons (any color), a handful of potato chips, and a glass of milk (3 sips only, then spill the rest down your leg).

Dinner - A dry stick, two pennies and a nickel, 4 sips of stale beer.

Bedtime snack - Toast piece of bread and toss it on the kitchen floor. Be sure to step on it and hear it go crunch!

DAY TWO

Breakfast - Pick up stale crunched toast from kitchen floor and eat it. Drink half bottle of vanilla extract or one vial of vegetable dye. Um, yummy!

Lunch - Half a tube of "Pulsating Pink" lipstick and a cigarette (to be eaten, not smoked). One ice cube if desired.

Afternoon snack - Lick an all day sucker until sticky, take outside, drop in dirt. Retrieve and continue slurping until it is clean again. Then bring inside and drop on the rug. Wander away without thought.

Dinner - a rock or an uncooked bean, which should be thrust up your left nostril. Pour iced tea over mashed potatoes, eat with a large strainer spoon, since taking your time is vital to your dieting success.

DAY THREE

Breakfast - Two pancakes with plenty of syrup, eat with fingers, rub in hair. Don't pull it out later though, it hurts. Glass of milk, drink half, stuff remainder of picked over pancakes into glass. After breakfast, pick up yesterday's suck from rug, lick off fuzz, and put it on the cushion of your best chair. Wander away without direction.

Lunch - Three matches, peanutbutter and jelly sandwich. Spit several bites onto the floor. Pour glass of milk on table and slurp up. Smear a design on table with remaining milk. It's good for your artistic expression.

Dinner - Dish of ice cream, handful of potato chips, some wine and coffee.

FINAL DAY

Breakfast - A quarter tube of toothpaste (any flavor), bit of soap, an olive. Pour a glass of milk over bowl of cornflakes, add a half-cup of sugar. Once cereal is soggy, drink milk and feed cereal to the dog. Be sure to rub some in dog's fur just for fun.

Lunch - Eat crumbs off kitchen floor and dining room carpet. Find that sucker and finish eating it.

Dinner - A glass of spaghetti and chocolate milk. Discard meatball on plate. Stick of mascara for dessert.

The above diet was taken off the forum of mycaloriecounter.com It really works, I have taken off another pound this week:)

School...Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of Rex's friends took us to Valley Fair at the end of August. All the kids had a blast. Geneva was tall enough to go on Mad Mouse and loved it. My favorite ride was the extreme swing, I was screaming so much I was worried about swallowing a bug, my mouth was open so much...lol. I was finally brave enough to go on Steel Vemon, it was pretty mild or it might have just seemed that way because it was the first ride we went on.

We had lunch in the tank and afterwards the kids had to sing the Cheeseburger Song before we left!

We started school on Tuesday. So far so good, we are all still alive:) It's actually been very good, I love getting back into a schedule and Geneva is a little older. She has her own school books and games. She has a card set called Logico and it's really great, she also has 4 learning cd's for the computer and some workbooks. Busy little muffin huh, she loves doing them all and I have to tell her I need to help someone else. Rexford's in 11th grade, Ethan's in 10th, Isaac is in 7th, Lilly is in 5th and Danielle is in 4th.

Last Sunday night we didn't have church service because there was a gas leak in our church, we didn't find out until we got there that night. On our way home we past a church that had evening service and ended up going there for church. It was an Independent Baptist church. The people were extremely friendly.

So much more to say but not enough time!
