July stuff

Hope everyone is having a fantastic summer! We took a trip to S.D. the weekend before the fourth. We had decided to go to a town south of where my mother lives. Two purposes, one go to the beautiful lake there and two Rex was going to meet up with his friend from High School. Well it rained as soon as we reached the town, oh well, no lake. We ended up taking the kids bowling:) Not sure there is anything else to do there. The town we went to is a town I have lived in for a couple years when I was a teenager. It was at a time I was very wild, so not so great memories. I do remember being at their police station a couple times. There was this restaurant I had always wanted to go to though and this is where Rex was to meet with his old friend. My expectations were SO HIGH! When I had lived there we were so dirt poor we didn’t go out to eat. Well as you might have guessed, I was completely let down. I really had never missed anything from not going to that restaurant! LOL It was like a Country Buffet or something like that. No offense to people who like Country Buffet:)

We went to the E.V. Free church there in S.D. and we heard a lecture/sermon on abortion for both morning and evening service. It’s a huge church, I am not sure how you can ever really get to know anyone in a huge church but I am sure people do. Our church is so little and everyone is friendly. It’s a lot easier to have a sense of community in a smaller church, that and making sure you are involved in fellowship. I hope our church gets larger though! We generally try and have someone over once a month.

I finished the boy’s bathroom last night. Yesterday I decided I wasn’t going to do anything but work on their bathroom until I finished it. I spent the longest time picking out bathroom rugs:) I will get some pictures up when we get a new camera, which should be at the end of the month. The colors are water blue and aqua. Ethan is doing the art work for the walls. He is using pastels. He is drawing fish and adding some people and objects from a Japanese video game he likes, Katamari. The artwork is the only thing not finished. I grouted some tiles twice:) , added new hardware to their cabinet, painted the walls, and made a curtain (which took less than 5 minutes).

I started lifting weights again today, which felt so good. I am staying away from squats for now because they seem to bother my knee. I am halfway to my weight goal, the weight I was before I got pregnant with Geneva:)

All of the cousins together here. Little Eddie, Caitlin and Alex with our kids.

The kids are so tan!
