Lost and Found

Lilly lost her math book this week so she put up a wanted poster for it and taped it on a door. It was found a couple days later in a spot where we had looked at least 3 times before of course!

Tonight during family worship Rex was reading in John 10, and Danielle raised her hand, to ask a question(like she does every few minutes). She asked what the word partiality meant and after Rex explained it to her Rexford piped in and told us that a long time ago Pastor had preached a sermon on partiality and he had thought he was talking about a vegetable, something like a cross between parsley and broccoli. We all busted up, it was so funny.

Here the girls are acting goofy on the new floor.

Janice 2 World 0

Geneva took a nap in Janice's arms during the Tae Kwon Do tournament. She looked so precious sleeping there. We went out to eat after the tournament to Timber Lodge Steakhouse. They said it would be an hour wait. It ended up being longer than 1 hour. Janice managed to get us seated sooner than the hostess had planned and we also got free appetizers. Note to self: Invite Janice whenever we go out.

Rex's birthday tournament

Rex celebrated his birthday on Saturday. We had a big breakfast and then Rex opened his gifts. The night before Danielle did some skits and sang Happy Birthday to him, it was really adorable! I only put 7 candles on the cake in fear of setting off the fire alarm. Geneva snacked on the edge of the cake while it was on the counter.

Rex, Rexford, Ethan, Isaac and Lilly entered the Andy Wallen Tae Kwon Do tournament.
Rex won first in sparring, forms and board breaking. He didn't get to break a board with his head but it's not the end of the world.

Rexford won first in sparring and third in forms. He entered those 2 events. He had a lot of teachers from the school spurring him on.

Ethan won 4th in forms, the only event he entered. He said he wants to enter move events next time. He did really good!

Isaac won third in board breaking and third in sparring.

Lilly won first in sparring and first in board breaking. She did excellent! She was the smallest competitor in sparring for her age group!

Here Lies Crabby

Yeah our cute little crab died tonight. Tomorrow he will be buried. Isaac made a tombstone for him. Geneva would kiss the fish tank in the morning and say, "crabby", she really liked him:) I almost cried, not because I was attached to him but because of how fond Geneva was of him. I plan on getting a new crab this week.

Rex broke a board with his head tonight, it was really cool. He plans to enter the board breaking competition this Saturday at our Tae Kwon Do tournament. Right before he was about to break it Danielle said, " I hope he doesn't get amnesia" So cute!!!

Isaac pulled out a loose tooth tonight. He says it's shaped like the coliseum in Italy:)

Praise God for His Kindness and Mercy to us!!!

We added balloons to our lawn sign Wednesday morning.

Praise God Bush won! I am sure most people didn't get much sleep Tuesday night, I called my Aunt Pauline who lives in Ohio Wednesday morning, she was still sleeping having stayed up till 4:30. I am so glad Kerry was gracious compared to Gore being a sore loser 4 years ago. I had a frightened phone call Wednesday morning though, Rex and I were at Sears picking up a saw to do our floors when Rexford called saying Kerry called Bush to concede,he thought that meant Kerry called Bush and wanted Bush to concede, I thought No way, this is worse than 4 years ago! So I had him explain what he read and he read Kerry calls Bush to concede, Rexford just thought it meant something different. There is so much to write about but I don't have time.
I made Laura Bush's Cowboy cookies, very tasty!
