Busy weekend

My father in law had bypass surgery on Thursday. He is healing very well. I heard that after you have something like that you have more energy. So I am hoping that will be the case for him.

We were able to go visit him last weekend. The hospital he is in is in the same city my mom lives in so we were able to stay with her. There was a ladies lunch with women from my mother’s church on Saturday, so Jeanne and I were able to go with her to it. I thought it would give Jeanne a chance to get away for an hour or two and relax a little.

We came back on Sunday, not the most ideal time to spend Sunday morning traveling but we were able to listen to 2 sermons on the way home. My mom made us sandwiches for lunch. She put broccoli rabe on mine and it was so delicious! So anyways we didn’t have to stop for anything on the way home, like food or fuel.

We have been listening to Pastor McDearmon’s series on older women in the church. It has been fantastic. So far we have listened to 3 of them and then on Sunday night we heard another sermon that seemed to tie perfectly with other ones. We had a guest speaker at our church who was so good. He was very specific, which I like and need most of the time..when I am in my right mind!!!!

I am letting the kids sleep in this morning, they had a long weekend. This week most of them are going to be training really hard for black belt testing. I am really excited for them!!!!!!! It is the final step/test for their black belts.

I scrap book with another lady in the church, I am working on my wedding album. Most of the other ladies there think it is really funny I am doing my wedding ablum…J .I know, kind of late but better than never. This summer it will be19 years!!!! WHOA! I am sorta stuck in between being young and having older kids and with most women my age they seem to just have little ones and women with teenagers are typically a lot older than me. It is not a bad problemJ It is just something I have noticed in the last few years. When you have the Lord in common age doesn’t matter!
